COVID 19 Origins Cover-Up
A natural SARS-CoV-2 origin becomes even less likely every day; Its continued promotion is the Real Conspiracy Theory.
10/20/2022 - See important update at the end regarding new genetic fingerprint evidence of lab creation.
We are in the process of watching one of the greatest conspiracy theories ever told unravel.
On February 19th, 2020, a mere three weeks after the WHO had declared a Public Health Emergency over the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan China, the world renowned medical journal, The Lancet, published a letter from 27 self-described “public health scientists” that said:
“The rapid, open, and transparent sharing of data on this outbreak is now being threatened by rumours and misinformation around its origins. We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin. Scientists from multiple countries have published and analysed genomes of the causative agent, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), and they overwhelmingly conclude that this coronavirus originated in wildlife”.
This highly-cited letter was used to establish an official narrative that any suggestion of human manipulation of the virus was a conspiracy theory. The implication that there was “rapid, open, and transparent sharing of data” by Chinese scientists was preposterous and the exact opposite of what was occurring as Western scientists tried to get access to the needed RAW data.
More significantly, how could these 27 scientists make the claim that the virus had a natural origin and did not come from a lab? There was no scientific basis for this assertion!
It gets worse. In this letter, the authors declare “no competing interests”- i.e., that their claims and opinions were not influenced by self-interest or conflicting relationships with individuals or institutions that might be implicated by alternative theories of origin or what they call “conspiracy theories”.
The No Competing Interests pledge has been shown to be a lie for 26 of the 27 authors! In fact, Peter Daszak, who organized the group and primarily wrote the letter, was the principal investigator for EcoHealth Alliance (EHA), which at the time of the COVID-19 outbreak was working with Chinese scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), to create novel, more-transmissible coronavirus specimens using gain-of-function experiments. If the SARS2 virus had indeed escaped from research he funded, Daszak would be potentially culpable. Talk about a conflict of interest! A further six signatories were also discovered to be affiliated with EcoHealth Alliance as well.
All these facts were known by 2021. In May of 2021, Nicholas Wade summarized the misdirection by Daszak and others and more importantly made a strong argument that SARS-CoV-2 was likely created in a Chinese laboratory which had insufficient bio-containment capabilities - virus lab leaks had happened several times before in China.
Wade’s lengthy paper describes how researchers at the WIV, led by China’s leading expert on bat viruses, Shi Zheng-li or “Bat Lady,” working with a contract FROM EcoHealth Alliance were genetically modifying bat coronaviruses (and in particular the infamous “spike protein”) to make the viruses more likely to infect humanized mice! Daszak even brags about their success in creating more transmissible coronaviruses in a December 2019 interview as the pandemic is starting!
It is worthwhile to quickly summarize the main points of Wade’s paper as they are even stronger today:
There is no good evidence for a natural origin of SARS2. The closest genetic match in nature to SARS2 occurs in bats but it differs significantly (only 96.8 similarity). In fact, SARS2 is not effectively transmitted in bats. Various intermediate animal hosts have been proposed but no viruses similar to SARS2 have been found despite a nearly 3 year high-priority search.
The WIV was actively involved in creating genetically modified coronaviruses designed to be more infectious to humans (gain of function research). The data, research notes, and samples of viruses developed in the WIV have been sealed by Chinese authorities and Western scientists have been denied access.
SARS2 has a genetic insertion called a “furin cleavage site” (FCS), which does not occur naturally in SARS2-related coronaviruses, and which makes the virus much more transmissible to humans. The particular amino acid sequence of the SARS2 FCS is highly unlikely to have evolved naturally in bat viruses. FCSs have been previously inserted into virus genomes in gain of function research by virologists, including by Dr. Zhengli Shi, head of coronavirus research at the WIV.
When SARS2 first appears it is already highly optimized for infection and transmission in humans with little genetic diversity which would be expected if it came from an animal reservoir.
All of this described so far is old news. However recently an insider, Jeffrey Sachs, who was appointed early in the pandemic as Chairman of the Lancet Covid Commission has been speaking out about the breadth of the conspiracy to hide the man-made origins of the virus, a conspiracy which goes far beyond Peter Daszak and the Lancet 27!
We now know through releases under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that the National Institute of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci participated in the cover-up of the likely man-made origins. Both individuals were publicly dismissing the possibility of a lab leak while privately meeting and sending emails acknowledging the apparent engineered nature of the virus.
Furthermore, On May 11th 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci testified under oath before a Senate committee that "The NIH has not ever, and does not now, fund 'gain of function research' in the Wuhan Institute." This claim is a demonstrable lie and opens up Dr. Fauci to possible future charges of lying to Congress.
The NIH continues to resist the release of important evidence, such as the grant proposals and project reports of EHA, and has continued to redact materials released under FOIA, including a remarkable 290-page redaction in a recent FOIA release. It will be difficult for the NIH and other government agencies involved in the gain of function research to continue to stonewall the investigation, especially if Republicans regain control of the House or Senate in this years midterm elections or the Presidency in 2024.
10/20/2022 Update New Genetic Evidence for Lab Creation
A newly release pre-print paper provides solid genetic “fingerprint” evidence for SARS2 lab creation theory.
It’s an extremely difficult topic to explain in layman’s terms, but here goes: SARS2 has an usual pattern of “restriction endonuclease recognition sites”, which are breakpoints in an organism’s DNA or RNA, and which are used by virologists when they create (by stitching together virus segments) new chimeric viruses. Chinese researchers at the WIV and others have published numerous papers documenting this process. This new paper shows the pattern of these “restriction” sites in SARS2 is very unlikely (< 1 in 100 chance) due to random chance mutation of known other coronaviruses. Combined with everything else we know, it is now almost certain that SARS2 was a lab creation.
